Nike Court @NikeLab 21 Mercer and Dover St. Market
Game, set, match! In honor of Russian tennis star Maria Sharapova's return to the 2015 French Open, NikeCourt served up new apparel and footwear collections, calling upon satis&fy to handle the retail build at its exclusive NikeLab locations 21M (21 Mercer St.) and DSM (Dover St. Market) in New York. Collaborating with the visionary Parisian cult fashion boutique Colette and world-renowned streetwear designer Hiroshi Fujiwara, both the new product as well as the retail environment paid tribute to the brick red clay of Paris's tennis courts.
An off-court expression of NikeCourt’s lifestyle of tennis, we transformed both retail locations into highly curated concept stores based on our client's design direction. Our team built retail fixtures inspired by the textures of the tennis, seamlessly weaving actual sporting equipment into the detail rich merchandising tables and custom umpire chair-inspired apparel racks. Overhead, an array of suspended tennis balls - meticulously arranged by hand - gave way to a frame-by-frame representation of a ball mid-bounce.
