Lace up your Nikes, Marty—we’re going back to the future.
Nike’s three-day, ultra-exclusive “Nike Mag” showcase gave way to a gathering of the world’s top sneakerheads, fashionistas, and industry leaders at the epicenter of athletic apparel design: Nike WHQ.
We loaded up our trucks (unfortunately, the DeLoreans couldn’t accommodate our gear), and headed out to transform a 40’ high cube shipping container into a dazzling, mind-bending feat of interior design. Fabricated to entomb Nike’s current recreation of Marty McFly’s iconic self-lacing high-tops, the container’s airtight interior was transformed into a 360 degree, LED wonderland—complete with mirrored acrylic surfaces and a healthy dose of iridescent, dichroic film.
Less than 100 pairs of the fabled Nike Mags are available to consumers, awarded through a raffle with all proceeds benefitting the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
