OBJECTIVE
To celebrate Polaroid as an iconic analog photography brand in a digital age Satis&fy partnered with Polaroid for the brand's first ever pop up store. The main attraction was the launch of Polaroid's latest product - the Polaroid Lab - a portable printer that enables you to produce physical Polaroid prints from smartphone photos.
APPROACH
Situated in the heart of Soho, the bold rainbow storefront welcomed fans, creatives, professional and novice photographers into a space where they could test new, and vintage products, participate in workshops, and shop the full Polaroid collection.
Once inside, visitors were greeted by Polaroid experts giving tutorials on how to use the Polaroid app in conjunction with the all new Polaroid Lab printer. Consumers were encouraged to create a Polaroid photo from their favorite place or memory of NYC. Guests participated and added their photo pieces to the store's public art installation, and immerse themselves in photo installations with photos taken by Chris Burkard containing hidden AR content. Each week, guests had the opportunity to participate in photography focused workshops and talks led by Polaroid photographer Maripol and Kelly Cutrone, Brooklyn Film Camera, and Dusen Dusen.
RESULTS
The first ever Polaroid pop up retail experience provided creators, as well as new and existing fans, a place to appreciate, learn, and celebrate the marriage of analog and digital photography.
