Celebrate the launch of the Galaxy S9 and engage consumer curiosity by creating a hands-on and innovative way for them to experience and understand the new device’s cutting edge photography features at Samsung’s Flagship 837 store in the meatpacking district in NYC.
APPROACH
Upon entering the store, visitors were given the Galaxy S9 loaded with a game-ified app to guide them through a light-driven experience. We created an interactive photo capture installation by transforming the existing glass paneled DJ booth into an immersive environment with light and sound for consumers to capture photos using the new Galaxy S9. Illuminated spheres of varying sizes filled the entire room of reflective surfaces to create a color shifting experience ending in an ultra-low-light photo moment.
RESULTS
The “retailtainment” experience we created resulted in longer visit times, increasing the number of visitors who spend one hour or more in the space from 43% to 59%. For several customers, the unique S9 experience motivated them to upgrade their existing device.
